WHAT KIND OF FARM IS CONSTITUTION FARMS?

We exclusively raise Russian honey bees for honey, pollination, and to make more bees! We also build our own woodenware (bee hives) in our woodshop.

We are establishing an orchard of mostly apples. We have some peaches, pears, figs and cherries in the mix and will expand their numbers as we find our favorites.

We raise St. Croix hair sheep for meat. These are a hardy, parasite resistant sheep with top marks for meat flavor. Since they don't produce wool or the associated lanolin, their meat has a milder flavor than a typical wool sheep. 

IS CONSTITUTION FARMS CERTIFIED ORGANIC?

No we are not. However, we thoroughly vet all our inputs to ensure their safety and quality. We are very careful to avoid products which may contain heavy metals or other pollutants. Many such products are approved for organic production. 

We absolutely do believe in all natural farming methods. We don't have any desire to get certified because the certification process is cumbersome yet proves little with respect to the quality of final products.
